From Sweden with Love

Three pictures from a Swedish collector of Fritz. Isn't the bottom one great? it's nice to see that a few people who knew Fritz are finding their way to this site. Scroll down, there's a link to the half-hour long documentary of Fritz' paintings directed by Angel Mejías somewhere further down the page.

A Notebook

Some drawings from a notebook from Fritz. The pictures cover a visit to Peru and a return to Spain: around 1980.
There's a story he writes at one point:
'Lima - no money - wretched place. Called Irene with last funds - she is leaving me stranded in tele station while she straightens - her mind - ehhh - another goof
Got Cliff - if he fucks up - am indubitably shafted.
My timing is off as usual - didn't call Steve - will try - Mon. No go. Cliff didn't get money off am Shafted'.

The portrait above has a rare Fritz signature on the bottom right.

Fritz in Florida

A collector in Florida sends me these two pictures. Fritz passed through there on his way back to Spain after a visit to the Amazon in 1980.

Two Old Favourites

This picture was painted in around 1974 and shows (if you smoke enough 'weed') Jesus and the twelve apostles. It was hung in La Sartén, a bar in Mojácar, for many years. Now in a private collection. The picture is round about 100cms x 150cms (as I remember it) and painted on a heavy press-board.
This is an old photograph of one of Fritz' favourite paintings, his 'Japanese Garden' which hung in actress Kate Mullock's house in Mojácar for many years.

Postcard

This is an image from a postcard I made of a Fritz picture which ended up, I think, in London. How many faces and bodies are in this picture? You'd need to be an 'infusionist' to be sure.

Another Portrait

This is a simple but effective picture on a piece of board.

Portrait of Fritz by Hollander

Gino Hollander was a student and friend of Fritz' and painted this fine portait of him shortly before Fritz died.
A mutual friend, Angel Mejias, has made a documentary film about Fritz - I'd seen part of the 'rushes' and it looked very good (although I notice it's hard not to want to imitate Fritz' voice when you are talking about him) - and so I should soon have an update on when/where to see the half hour documentary.
